Comments:
- Security: The overall security situation shows deterioration as compared to last week. Baluchistan, KPK and to some extent Sindh are showing a continuous trend leading to poor law and order situation. A significant increase in deaths of security personals specially in Balochistan is alarming. Issue of bullet riddled and mutilated bodies found in Baluchistan is likely to be used by hostile elements to increase gap between public and security establishment.
- Governance: The poor handling of governance issues by government continues with CDA taking lead in media for this week.
- Suggestion: The security situation in Balochistan, KPK and Sindh needs close monitoring and evaluation. The statistics show much more deaths of security personals as compared to other causalities in Balochistan and KPK but interestingly media focus on FC and agencies and blame them for targeting and lifting people specially in Balochistan. There is a need for political set up to take the situation upfront in Balochistan. They must command and own the situation to guide security apparatus for better results. In Sindh solution lies in eradication of land mafias and mafias within political parties .The increase or decrease in events have strong links to the agendas of mafias working in Karachi.
